Wine Tastings in Shrewsbury & Shropshire

Hello and a very warm welcome to the Shropshire Wine School. We are an independent wine education company which hosts wine tastings and wine courses in Shrewsbury and other Shropshire locations.

We offer a range of wine events including fun wine tastings, food and wine workshops and introductory courses. All events focus on enjoying wine in a relaxed and informal setting. No previous wine experience necessary.

This is an indulgent full day wine experience hosted at the Lion Hotel, Shrewsbury, housed in a beautiful and historic Grade 1 listed former coaching house hotel. The perfect setting for a relaxed and enjoyable day exploring the world of wine.

The day kicks off with a glass of Champagne and canapes followed by a tutored tasting of twelve specially selected wines from around the world and includes a delicious 3-course seasonal lunch in The Haywards Restaurant.

Lion Hotel Shrewsbury Front

Shropshire Wine School is delighted to host its Shrewsbury events at the Lion Hotel, Wyle Cop, Shrewsbury, SY1 1UY. This Grade 1 listed former coaching house is a wonderful setting for these events held in the Pickwick Room. The Lion Hotel is situated in central Shrewsbury on the historic Wyle Cop, ten minutes walk from Shrewsbury railway station.

Wellington:

We are pleased to annonce our brand new Wellington venue, which is the historic Wrekin College, Sutherland Rd, Wellington, Telford TF1 3BH. This wonderful setting has ample parking and modern facilities and is less than 10 minutes walk from Wellington railway station.
